Billie Louise Jones

Billie Louise Jones was born on July 30, 1921. She passed away peacefully at her home on Lake Bruin in St. Joseph, Louisiana on January 21, 2019.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Senator Howard M. Jones, son, Howard M. Jones, Jr., her parents, John and Addie Jones, and all her siblings. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

“Miss Lou” was a member of the St. Joseph Baptist Church. She was a member of Cosmopolitan Club and the St. Joseph Garden Club, and owner of Idle Isle Antiques and later E & L Antiques and she was a member of several bridge clubs. Miss Lou was an avid gardener, gracious hostess, and a wonderful cook who opened her home on many occasions.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah. Services will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at 1:00 p.m., at St. Joseph Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Webber officiating, assisted by Rev. DeWayne Butler. Interment will be at Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton.

Serving as pallbearers are Jim Crigler, John Crigler, Allen Crigler, Bill Crigler, Shep Crigler, Robert Sandoz, and Ron Wilhite.
