Bobbie Kim Davis

Bobbie Kim Davis passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. She was born in Kangwon-do, Korea. She married Leslie E. Davis 11 March 1960 at the Office of the Mayor of Seoul, Korea. Her given name at birth was Kim Sae Yung. She became a naturalized citizen of the United States 29 December 1966 in Biloxi, MS. The same date, she legally changed her name from Sae Yung Davis to Bobbie Davis. She has lived in Vicksburg, MS for 55 years. She was a child care attendant and had a palpable love for little children. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Davis. Survivors are daughters, Carol Ford (Randy), Becky Thornton (Chuck), Mary Ellen Sumrall (D.F.) and Lisa Anderson (Kyle); grandchildren, Selena Wood (Wesley), Lesley Miller (Wesley), Hunter Anderson (Halle), Parker Sumrall, Trace Thornton (Alexis), Kelsey Anderson, Skyler Anderson; great grandchildren, Carrie Lynn Wood, Cristan Wood, Lexi Miller, Kimber Miller, and McKenna Anderson. There will be a private visitation for close friends and family from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Saturday, October 12 at Glenwood Funeral Home. A private burial with the family will follow at Greenlawn Garden Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wesley Wood, Wesley Miller, Hunter Anderson, Parker Sumrall, Trace Thornton, and Blake Jobe. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Vicksburg Convalescent Home.
