David Alan Baxter

David Alan Baxter, born and raised in Vicksburg, died on Friday, September 6, 2019 at the age of 62. 

David spent most of his adult life in construction, was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a lover of music, master carpenter, and a self-taught artist. He was residing in Jackson when he passed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald Baxter and Lona Rodgers Hearon.

David is survived by his 2 children Amy Methvin, Jackson, MS and Christie Lamb, Dallas, TX; 6 Siblings Harry Cousins, Mountain Home, AR, Nancy Kirby, Auburndale, FL, Billy Baxter, Myrtle Beach, SC, Sandra Harris, Fort Worth, TX, Melissa Hearon-Day, Auburndale, FL and Tammy Carlisle, Starkville, MS; 6 grandchildren, Tyler Methvin, Shawn Methvin, Zack Methvin, Chance Fields, Carson Williams and Camden Williams.

A visitation will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home on Monday, September 9, 2019 at 9:00 a.m.  A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 10:00 a.m.  Rev. Harry Cousins will officiate the service.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Greg Harris, Billy Baxter, Shawn Methvin, Tyler Methvin, Zachary Methvin and Joe Williams
