Doris H Burrough

Doris H Burroughs passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019. She was 96 years old.

Doris was a wonderful woman and mother. She loved her children, her grandchildren and family very much. All Doris knew how to do was give out love and tell you that you're pretty. She was a momma to everyone she met.  Dorris was a member of Porters Chapel United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mildred Hancock, her husband, James K. Burrough, her son, Jerry L. Burrough, her brother, Felix Hancock, and her three sisters; Florine Passons, Jimmie Mae Johnson, and Avis Ferriss.

Doris is survived by her two daughters; Molly McCluskey(James) and Kay Oliver(Ronnie), her son Ray Burrough, her five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and 2 great, great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Glenwood Funeral Home from 12:00pm until the hour of service. The funeral service will follow immediately after the visitation at 2:00pm. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Dr. Matt Buckles will be officiating the service.

Active pallbearers will include Bobby Layton, Donnie Sibley, Donnie Frifth, Jack Liest, Don Johnson, Butch Newman and Jose Llopis. Honorary pallbearers will include Marty Hillderbrand, James Harper, Walter Hardy, Buford Evans, Jimmy Dye, and Kevin Avant.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Porters Chapel United Methodist Church and Redwood United Methodist Church.
