Dovie A. Friley

Dovie Ann Friley passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at River Region Medical Center at the age of 78.

She was born Dovie Ann Duchesne on September 1, 1941 in Hebert, LA to Boatner and Earline Duchesne. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Friley and her son Keith Friley.

She is survived by her sons Derrell and Mark Friley and numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her fur baby, Phoebe who will miss her very much. 

Dovie was born blind and attended the Louisiana School for the Blind where she learned life skills that enabled her to raise her family and live independently after her husband, Ray, passed away.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 6, 2020 at Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Glenwood Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Derrell Friley, Mark Friley, Blake Williamson, and Hunter Wilkinson.
