E. G. Nations, Sr. died on Monday, January 14, 2019, at Claiborne County Hospital. He was 87.
He was a lifelong resident of Lorman, MS. After serving in the U. S. Army he worked for Southwest Mississippi Electric Power Association. He started out as a lineman and ended up as Operations Manager. He was elected as County Supervisor of District 5, serving one term. He was Mason and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Port Gibson, MS.
He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn, two sisters and one brother.
He is survived by his daughter Carolyn Sue Nations; sons, James Nations and Ronald E. Nations, all of Lorman; sisters Faye Holmes (Wayne) of Natchez and Mae Shelton of Augusta, GA; brother, Wilbur Nations (Maxine) of Vicksburg; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Cane Ridge Cemetery in Lorman with Rev. Michael Herrin officiating.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Sucharski, Chandler Thompson, Chris Fife, Kirkland Childers, Taylor Nations and Dalton Weeks.
