Ernest Rivers

Ernest Rivers died Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was 74.
Ernest was a native of Hollandale, Miss. and lived a number of years in Sharkey Co. and currently made his home in Vicksburg where he was formerly employed by the Vicksburg Coca-Cola Co. for over 20 years and was presently employed at Neill Gas for the past 19 years.
He was a member of Crossway Baptist Church.
Survivors include his 2 daughters, Patty Guthrie of Covington, LA and Kathy (Jody) Wooten of Vicksburg; his sister, Alice Rivers (P.K.) Parkerson of Vicksburg; his brother, Billy Paul (Carol) Rivers of Bolton and his 5 grandchildren, Shelby Guthrie, Hayden Guthrie, Dylan Wooten, Sydney Wooten and Bella Grace Wooten.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 7, 2019, in the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home with Rev. Terry White officiating, Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Gardens Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM Saturday until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Allen Knight, Harris Anthony, Steve Barnes, Grant Stapleton, Jerry Isgett, Hunter Matherne, Paul Matherne and Scott Hill.
