Harley Cranford Southern passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019 at his home. He was 87.
Mr. Southern was born July 30, 1932 the son of Harl and Mary Hughes Southern. He was a Forester for Anderson Tully from 1958 until his retirement in 1999. He was a former member of the Cottonwood Council and was the founder of the Home Hunting Club.
He was predeceased by his parents; his son, Larry Dean Southern and a grandson, Wesley Ryan Southern.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Cloie Sue Southern; sons, Kerry Hal Southern (Deborah) and Darryl Wayne Southern (Lisa); grandchildren, James Kevin Southern, Terry LeeAnn Allen, Karen Marie Merritt and Larry Wayne Southern and 8 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2019, at Glenwood Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Andrews officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mark Yelverton, Mark Monroe, Fred Newcomb, Gerry White, Bill Tomlinson and Mike Herrington.
