Henry Stanley Martin died on Friday, April 26, 2019. He was 79 years old.
Henry was born in Forrest City, Arkansas, but has lived in Vicksburg for 44 years. He worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, LMVD.
He was also a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Dillard Martin and Helen Angus Lawrence, and his sister Dean Berneking.
Henry is survived by his wife, Mary Martin; his three sons, Keith Martin, Michael Martin and Keith Rogers; his daughter Kathy Rogers; his nephew Brett Blankenship; his brother Dillard Martin; his eight grandchildren and his five great grandchildren. To those he leaves behind, he shall always be known as a shining example of what a man should be. His exceptional and unconditional love and charitably to those he knew and for especially his family, was without limits. His house was open as a home with all the love and care that entails to those who graced his door. The family would like to express a special Thank you to Private Home Care and the St. Joseph Hospice for their Service in our family’s time of need.
A visitation will be held at Woodlawn Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 10:00 am. A memorial service will follow immediately after visitation at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will include Mike Stewart and Robert Peters.
Rev. Kent Campbell will be officiating the service.
