Ira (Bud) Wayne Foster, Jr., 88, died on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Olive Branch Nursing Home in Richmond, Louisiana. He was born November 3, 1930 in Lake Providence, Louisiana to Ira W. Foster, Sr. and Rosa Viola Foster. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sue Clay Foster, sister, Grace Williams and great-grandson, Joshua Eldridge.
Surviving family includes his brother, Robert Foster; children, Gary Wayne Eldridge of Tallulah, Ira Paul Foster of Tallulah, and Jessica Gayle Frantz (Ronald) of Normal, Illinois; grandchildren, Jody Wayne Eldridge (Paula) of New Orleans, Louisiana, Carey Ann Eldridge (John) of Oregon, Jonathan Paul Frantz of Springfield, Illinois, and Daniel Clay Frantz (Brooke) of Normal, Illinois. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Tucker and Elaine Frantz and Gabby Eldridge.
Bud enjoyed his job as the long-time manager of the Tallulah EXXON gas station until its closing, where he met and made countless good friends. Bud loved his family and will be remembered as having a great sense of humor, being a great story-teller, loving mathematical problems and enjoyed playing bingo with his daughter and granddaughter and other residents at the nursing home.
Visitation and funeral will be on Monday, April 29, 2019, beginning at 1:00 p.m., followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah, Louisiana. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
