James "Jimmy" Glenn Jones

Jimmy went to be with his heavenly Father on June 15, 2019 at Merit Health Medical Center in Vicksburg.  He was born to Ben F. and Marie Smithart Jones on August 20, 1952.  He was 66 years old.

He was a truck driver by trade and an avid race driver, and touched many lives throughout his racing events.

He was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.

He is survived by his two children Jimi Lynn Weber and James Glenn Jones, II, both of Denver, Colorado; along with 8 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Jimmy is also survived by three sisters and one brother; Diane Dent and Carol Hughes of Vicksburg, Brenda Jones of Memphis, TN and Travis Jones of Florence, South Carolina.

A service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at Glenwood Funeral Home with Rev. E. L. Sharpe officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.   Interment will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

There will be a gathering at the Parkwood South Club Room.  Potluck dinner would be appreciated. All friends and family are appreciated.
