Janet Caldwell Dixon

Janet Caldwell Dixon died on Monday, April 22, 2019, at Merit Health River Region Hospital.  She was 79.

She  was born in Girvan, Scotland on January 1, 1940, the daughter of William George Hannah Stewart Caldwell and Janet Barnes Sinclair Caldwell.  She moved to the United States in 1962.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James Dixon, Sr. and her sisters, Margo Scott and Ina McGookin; brother-in-law William McGookin, nephew David William Johnston, sisters-in-law Vera Snow, Bobbie Dunn and Doris Williams.

She is survived by her sons William George Dixon and Sean Stewart Dixon (Melanie) of Vicksburg and James Ervin Dixon, Jr. (Kimberly) of Madison; sisters, Jennifer Muir of Tennessee, Joan Connelly and Andria Caldwell of Scotland and Liz Russo of Spain; brothers, Sinclair Caldwell and George Caldwell of Scotland; grandchildren Sean Dixon, Mirannda Dixon, Allyson Renee Dixon, Kathleen Nichole Dixon and Andrew Kyle Dixon; brother-in-law Lonnie Dixon (Beverly), sister-in-law Martha Boone (David) and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2019 at Glenwood Funeral Home; with Rev, Kent Campbell officiating the service.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
