Joe Hicks Obituary
Joe William Hicks passed away on Monday, December 23, 2019, at Sharkey-Issaquena Hospital at the age of 93.
Joe was born on March 30, 1926 in Calhoun City, MS. He had lived in Rolling Fork for many years where he retired as a tractor salesman at Delta Implement. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Anguilla, MS. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1944 until 1946.
He was preceded in death by his wife Annie M. Hicks; parents Crawford & Ethel Hicks; brother James Hicks; sisters Louise Fox, Elizabeth Weaver and Mary Ward.
He his survived by his son Carl Inman (Sylvia) of Cary, MS; daughter Cathy McGee (Jim) of Rolling Fork, MS; sister Lynn Bryant, five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork. The service will be officiated by Dr. Jimmy Porter.
Pallbearers will be Herbert Jones, Kareen Herrod, Rocky Evans, Craig Boykin and Matt McGee.
