John Wesley Scroggins

Funeral services for Mr. John Wesley Scroggins, age 87, will be Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at 11:00 A.M., at the chapel at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah with Rev. Marvin Curtis officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service from 10 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton, Louisiana under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carrie and Willie Scroggins, his son, Sonny Scroggins, and his sister, Bonie Brock.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Wanda Scroggins, daughter, Fidelis Gay Bowden, stepdaughter, Wanda Sue Burt, stepson, Tommy Hale, 7 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Clyde Roberson, Patrick Roberson, James Bolden, Scott Jones, Ward Ellerbe, and Eric Hale. Honorary pallbearers are Jay Bolden, Tommy Hale, Wayne Patrick, and Chuck Mendrop.
