Juanita K. Watts died on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Heritage House Nursing Home. She was 99.
Juanita was born on November 16, 1919 to her parents Fred R. Kitchens and Bettie Hill Kitchens. She received her cosmetology license in 1940. A native of Scooba, MS, she moved to Vicksburg in 1946. She was employed by Hunter's Beauty Shop, which later became Kut-N-Kurl, and was where she worked until she retired. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George William Watts, Sr.; step-son, Bill Watts, Jr.; brothers, Fred "Bud" Kitchens, William F. Kitchens and E. E. "Dick" Kitchens; sisters, Thelma K. Blackburn, Doris K. Pollard and Irene Kitchens.
She is survived by her son Lee Roy Robinson (Sharlot); step-daughter Nona Midyett (Chuck); six grandchilden and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Glenwood Funeral Home with Dr. Matt Buckles officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the hour of the service. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Garden Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robby Robinson, Daryl Poland, John Choate, Fred Kitchens, James Kitchens, Brother Blackburn, Jeb Blackburn and James M. York. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Kitchens, Sr., Allen Kitchens, Jr., Don Kitchens, Earl Kitchens, Johnny Kirk Kitchens, Richard Kitchens and Andy Kitchens.
