Virginia Gibson Turner died Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at her residence in Brookeland, TX. She had turned 100 years old on September 25, 2019.
Virginia was born and reared in Greenville, AL and had been making her home in Hermanville, MS since 1955. She and her husband owned and operated Turner's Store for many years. She was a very fine and compassionate lady who was a fantastic cook and well known for her biscuits. Her hobbies included quilting and gardening. She was a member of the Hermanville Baptist Church.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Turner; her son, Howard Turner and her daughter, Barbara Warren.
Survivors include her son, Bruce (Tammy) Turner of Brookeland, TX; her grandchildren, Dr. Mason (Ricardo) Turner, Robert (Dena) Warren and Renee (Mark) Anderson and her great-grandchildren, Trey Fulton, Brandi Binder, Brad Anderson, Holly Erwin, Ty Warren, Hope Warren, Eli Turner-Nunez, Eva Turner-Nunez and Avi Turner-Nunez and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 31, 2019, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson.
Visitation at the Hermanville Baptist Church will be held Friday at 10:00 AM until the hour of the funeral at 11:00 AM in the church,
Robert Warren and Doug Salley will officiate at the service and interment will follow in the Hermanville Cemetery,
Pallbearers will be, Dr. Mason Turner, Brad Anderson, Ty Warren, Peter Binder, Mason Erwin and Mark Anderson.
