Abby Conerly Obituary


Abby Gail Carter Conerly was born August 9, 1956. She ended her journey on this earth May 30, 2020 and is now home with our merciful Father.

Abby was preceded in death by her father, James Carter, mother Annie Hern Carter, and brother Jack Carter.

She is survived by brothers Bo Carter, Carl, Fox and Don Garner; sister Irene Carter; and daughters Marie Deen (Chris, Trista, Cailey), Denise and Russ Carraway (Anna, Carter), and Brittany Conerly (Summer, Reese, Abby).                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

Abby was a hardworking independent woman for all of her life, until she retired from the US postal service in January of 2017. For the past 3 years, she has spent her free time enjoying her grandchildren. Abby was loved by many, and will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Glenwood funeral home In Vicksburg on Tuesday, June 2 at 9:00, with services to follow at 10:00 a.m..  The service will be officiated by Rev. Brad Hartzog.  She will be laid to rest at Mount Olivet cemetery beside her mother.

Pallbearers will be Joe Smith, Peyton Wilson, Buck O'Neal, Clinton Carter, Billy Moore and George Busby.
