Alvin Jefferson McCollum

Alvin Jefferson McCollum passed away on August 6, 2024, at the age of 67.

Alvin was born on October 19, 1956, the son of Allen McCollum and Beatrice McCollum.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing in the river.  He loved to raise a garden and give it away.

He was preceded in death by his wife Diane McCollum and his parents.  

He is survived by his daughter Chastity McCollum, step-daughters Crystal Lynn Sanders and Carla Melton, sister Tammy Thomas (David), and grandchildren Chase Chunn, Hayden Sanders, Shelby Melton, Alex Melton, Faith Melton, Grace Melton, Hunter Bryant, Hayley Bryant, and Katin Bryant and great-grandchild Gunner Dunlap.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Glenwood Funeral Home.
