Annette McClung Spring

Mrs. Annette McClung Spring passed away Friday evening, December 20, 2024, after a brief illness. She was 72.

Annette, known to her loved ones as "Nette", was born on Friday, February 22, 1952, in Jackson, MS to Frank and Bonnie McClung. She lived her life here in Vicksburg with her husband of 52 years, David Spring. Nette is survived by her husband, David; two daughters, Kelli Dispenza (Chris) and Erin Spring; one granddaughter, Jayde Dispenza; her brother, Dale McClung (Cindy) and sister, Judy Marsicano; two sisters-in-law that were practically sisters, Jane Lemen (Jerry) and Kaye Harris; four nieces, Jennifer Wozencraft (Shawn), Corey Jacobson (Jesse), Paige Bublik (Trey), Jill Couvillion (Billy) and one nephew, Shane Marsicano (Donna).

She was preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Jean, and her parents, Francis "Frank" and Bonnie McClung. 

Nette worked for Vicksburg Warren School District for many years as an assistant teacher and as a substitute teacher and cashier, along with also working for the YMCA in the after-school care program, Primetime, as a site director. An avid nature and animal lover, Nette loved sitting outside in her screened in porch where she could watch the birds and squirrels eat and play around the feeders. She always had at least one cat throughout her adult life and also a few dogs over the years. She loved her flower beds, potted flowers and plants, and her rose garden. 

Visitation will be at Glenwood Funeral Home on Friday, December 27 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM with service to follow. Burial will take place afterward at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
