Audie Bell Majors Martin passed away at her home on September 19, 2022. She was 90 years old.
Mrs. Martin was born on June 24, 1932, in Meridian, Mississippi, to the late Lamar and Ludie Major of Meridian. She is preceded in death by her husband E.H. "Bud" Martin and a son Stacy Major Martin.
Audie worked as a parole officer at Oakley Training School for 30 years. She was a member of Utica Christian Church.
She is survived by a son Steve Martin, a daughter Marcarol Rees (JR.), sisters Nancy Rauls, and Millie Jones, 5 grandchildren Michael Bryant, Jason Bryant, Holly Shy (Steven), Ashley Rees, and Claude Rees, III (Taylee), 5 great-grandchildren Colton Lane Shy, Leland Shy, Raven Sanders, Hadley Rees, and Brynlee Rees.
A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Utica Cemetery with Rev. Marvin Curtis officiating.
Pallbearers will be Michael Bryant, Jason Bryant, Claude Rees, III, and Steven Shy.
