Audrey Stephens passed away on December 26, 2025, at the age of 105.
She was born and raised on the family farm in the log home on the Patterson Place on January 10, 1920. She loved sewing and was an organist at many churches throughout her life. Her favorite love was to serve others and she enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She loved sending and receiving cards for all occasions. She also loved traveling the world on adventures. She was a big supporter of St. Jude Childrens Hospital. She always adored spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents W. S. Byrd and Mattie Hearn Byrd, husband Henry Lee Stephens, granddaughter Belinda Stephens and great-grandchildren Brian Himmelsbaugh and Audra Claire Wooley.
She is survived by her son John Stephens, daughter Martha (Sissy) Wood and grandchildren John Stephens, II (Melissa), Frances Dolmage, Lynn Himmelsbaugh (Marc), Andrea Nevels (Michael) and Jennifer Wooley (Jason) and 10 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson, MS, officiated by Jason Wooley. A visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Harlan Wooley, Peyton Nevels, Zakariya Abdeen, Wil Boyd, Andy Jennings and Michael Nevels.
