Barbara Ann Boyd

Barbara Ann Boyd passed away on October 8, 2025. She was 84.
Barbara was born on March 9, 1941, the daughter of Leonie Prejeant and Laura Ledet Prejeant. She was a very multi-talented person. She enjoyed singing, sewing, crocheting, painting, crafting, and was a great dancer. She was also good at fixing hair and did that for family, friends and neighbors. She loved her kids and was all about her family. She was a devout Christian and attended Church of God Prophecy and services at Vicksburg Convalescent home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Billy Boyd and her brother Carol Prejeant.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa Barnette, sons Bill Boyd (Loretta), Lonnie Boyd (Rachael), Perry Boyd (Barbara), brother Roy Prejeant, grandchildren Brandi(Brock), Shay(Jason), Laura(Donnie), Rocky(Sami), Max, Jason, Veronica, J,  Gavrie, Sylvia Klaire, Liam, Lindsay, Zach and Kinlee,  great-grandchildren Shelby(Marcus), Micah(Maddie), Anna Leigh, Marlana, Mylo, Zayiah, Quinton, Preslee, Marcus, Jonah, Scout, Neely, Gracie, Easton and Cash, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 Monday, October 13, 2025, at Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service. Interment will follow in Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork.
Pallbearers will be Rocky Barnette, Max Barnette, J Boyd, Zach Boyd, Gavrie Boyd and Micah McCoy. Honorary pallbearers are Jason, Jonah, Scout, Liam and Quinton.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff of Vicksburg Convalescent Home for the excellent care and outpouring of love and concern they expressed to Barbara. She loved them and they loved her.
