Barbara Kay Whitehead

Barbara Kay Whitehead passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023. She was 75 years old. She was a leader of 4-H. She was the president of MS Right to Life. She was a mentor to many people. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Alexander Tate and Margaret Dogan Harris Tate.

She is survived by her husband, David Whitehead; daughters, Sabrina Graham and Jennifer Williamson; six grandchildren, Skyler Williamson, Blake Smith, Alexander Hulett, Mark Carrick, Nick Carrick and Joshua Floyd; four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mark Carrick, Joshua Floyd, Charles Carrick, Scott Fischbach, Jason Derryberry and Timothy Coker. Honorary pallbearer will be Shane Green.

A funeral service will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Tom Bentley officiating the service. Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Burial will follow at 2:30 P.M. at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Lexington, MS.
