BettyDouglas Fields, formerly Betty Florence Douglas, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021, in Colonial Heights, VA. She was 79 years old. Betty was a 1960 graduate of Culkin Academy. She moved to Colonial Heights, Va. in 1978. She attended Life Church in Chesterfield. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was devoted in her faither in Him. She always tried to give back to others, helping people and volunteering as she could. She graduated from John Tyler Community College with a 4.0 obtaining an Associate Degree in Human Services with a specialization in pre-social work. She loved her family and spent her time talking to friends, writing, and collecting. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys May (Harper) Seay and Newton Douglas; brother Newton Douglas Jr.; and her daughter Sharonda Denise Fields. She is survived by her sons, Paul Lloyd Fields Jr. and Leland Earl Fields (“Woody”); Daughter, Dana Sharelle Fields; sister Bobbie Jean Bezzard; grandsons Austin Paul Fields and Andrew Lawrence Fields; and her great grandson Langston Paul Fields. A memorial service will be held later in the year at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg, MS. Pastor Mike Fields will officiate the service.
