Betty Lou Morgan Hammond

Betty Morgan Hammond, 84, from Tallulah, Louisiana passed away March 23, 2026, at Glenwood Regional Hospital in West Monroe, Louisiana. She was born on December 22, 1941, in the Canal Zone in the country of Panama.

With an avid passion for reading, crosswords, and a handcraft expert, Betty spent most of her life as a housewife and mother.  With a wonderful gift of gab and great sense of humor, she was loved and will be missed by both family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clifton Morgan and by her mother, Trobia Morgan; sisters Elaine Rials and Amanda Ross.

Betty is survived by 5 children:  Alvin Shows, Julie Rinicker, Jolanda Ming, Tammy Hammond and John T. Hammond. She has 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by 3 brothers:  Howard “Sonny” Morgan, James Morgan, and George Morgan.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, April 10, 2026, at Crother Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah, Louisiana
