Betty Ann Steed Hoover passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021. She was 56.
Betty was a dedicated mother and grandmother first and foremost. She treasured her children and grandchildren, and embraced every moment with them. She had a personality thatwas to know her was to love her. A light from our family is gone. A voice we loved is stilled. A place is vacant in the home which can never be filled. We have to mourn the loss of one we would have loved to keep, but God who surely loved her best, has finally made her sleep. After a lifetime of her love and joy, and music to fill our ears, God leaves these wonderous memories to help us through our tears.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Bobby Gene Steed and Nell Blaylock Steed, and her great-granddaughter, Addy Lynn Merritt.
She is survived by her life long partner, Rick Standish, her two sons, Edward Lewis Hoover, Jr.(Cindy), Michael Gene Hoover(Meredith), her daughter, Nikki Daffron(Brandon), children of Rick Standish; Russel Standish and family, Samantha Campbell and family, and Rick Standish, Jr. and family, her grandchildren; Caitlyn Hoover, Baylee Daffron, Addie Daffron, Sara Skipper(Dakota), Meghan Parker(Wayne), Sam Skipper, McKinley Skipper, Alexis Hoover, Braxton Hoover, and Harper Hoover, her great-grandchildren; Cody Merritt, Axel Merritt, and Rylee Parker.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 9:00 am with a memorial service immediately following at 11:00 am at Glenwood Funeral Home.
Hyman Cosby will be officiating the service.
