Betty Jo Hunter

Betty Jo Hunter passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, in Iuka, MS. She was 72 years old.

Betty Jo was born in Port Gibson, MS on March 26, 1952, to Charles Edward Gladwell, Sr. and Katherine Lee Straing Gladwell. She was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg where she worked as a CNA in Nursing Homes. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Charles Gladwell, Jr., Jimmy Gladwell, Sr. Robert Gladwell, William Cade and Eugene Gladwell, sisters Mary Byrd, Nell Bunch, Dot Melton and Jo Dampier.

She is survived by her daughter Missy Dunlap, brother Willie Gladwell, Sr., sister Shirley Stephens, 3 grandchildren Donovan Dunlap, Jordan Dunlap, and Devan Dunlap, and 3 great grandchildren Theodore Dunlap, Lochlan Dunlap, and Lennan Dunlap.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Bro. Larry Macomber officiating.
