Betty Jo Vinson passed away in her home surrounded by her loved ones Friday, June 12, 2020. She was 86.
Betty was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg, Mississippi and was a member of Northside Baptist Church and also attended Living Water Christian Fellowship. She loved to tell stories and loved her grand babies, horses, and dogs. She loved to go to church, go shopping, and she was known for her fiery red hair.
She is preceded in death by her husband James F. Vinson; her sons, Barry Vinson and Donald Vinson; grandsons, Matthew Blankenship and Christopher Vinson; granddaughter, Victoria Vinson; and great-grandchildren, Zoi Renee Vinson and Casey Colunga.
She is survived by her sons, Larry C. and Amie Vinson and James Vinson, Jr.; her daughters, Rita Blankenship and Rebecca Vinson; her brother, Peter Deason; her sisters, Shirley Cook and Carolyn Smith; her grandchildren, Amber Vinson, Morgan Vinson, Brittany Singh, Chelsea LaSalle, Madison LaSalle, Sarah Keathley, Cierra Sims, Christy Janolta, Cody Vinson, and Adam Blankenship; and her great-grandchildren, Khloe Vinson, Laney Vinson, Matt Colunga, Aiden Blankenship, and SJ Singh.
A special thanks to her caregiver, Jackie Foster, and Kindred Hospice.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 12:00 PM to the hour of service at 2:00 PM.
Pallbearers will be Adam Blankenship, Aiden Blackenship, Ricky Jones, Jerry Davidson, Charles Houston, John Houston, and Mike Patterson.
Honorary Pallbearers are Sonny Singh, Warren County Sheriff Department, Jaqueline (Jackie) Foster, Kindred Hospice, and Frances Neilson.
