Mrs. Betty Westmoreland, age 72, passed away peacefully at her home in St. Joseph, Louisiana, Saturday, November 26, 2022, after a long battle with breast cancer. Betty was born July 17, 1950, in Rayville, Louisiana, to Ervin and Lillie Isaac Baker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Lillie Baker; children, Becky Jolly and Jonathan Jolly; brothers, Burley Baker and Billy Baker; and sister, Linda Mantooth. Betty is survived by her husband of 32 years, Wayne Westmoreland of St. Joseph, Louisiana; sister, Shirley McNamara of Marshall, Texas; brothers, Wayne Baker of Shreveport, Louisiana, Terry Baker of Prosper, Texas, David Baker of Waveland, Mississippi, and Tommy Baker of Vidalia, Louisiana; grandchildren, Jacob Sikes and wife Bri, Jordan Matthews, Dalton Matthews, Hali Matthews, and Lauren Matthews; great-grandchildren, Julian Sikes and Jayden Sikes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Betty Westmoreland at 3:00 PM, Monday, November 28, 2022, at Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton, Louisiana, with Bro. Phillip Watts officiating under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jammie Hankins, Jacob Sikes, Jordan Matthews, Patrick Glass, Less Fuller, and Rodger Hankins.
