Billie Sue Yelverton passed away Saturday March 22, 2025. She was 91 years old. She was born in Corinth, MS on March 21, 1934, to George W. Jobe and Jewll D. Jobe.
She married Offie Burl Yelverton, and they made their home in Rolling Fork, MS. She loved flowers and owned and operated Shady Acres Greenhouse and Ceramic Shop for many years. She also worked for Service Lumber Company's Garden Center. Ms. Billie was known as the Flower Lady. She loved God and her family, and she also loved to sing and play her guitar.
She was preceded in death by her husband Offie Burl Yelverton; daughter, Sandra Jewell Welch; granddaughter, Elizabeth Katelyn Craddock, parents, George W. Jobe and Jewell Jobe; brother, S. Wayne Jobe; sisters Bobbie Clark, Dorothy Pitts and Eva Sellers.
She is survived by her brother George Lamar Jobe; sisters Peggy J. Lane and Eddie D. Vermillion; sons, Joseph B. Yelverton (Pat) and Michael W. Yelverton (Charla); grandchildren, Christopher D. Welch (Teresa), Shelly G. Craddock (Brad), Melissa A. Patterson, Rosa L. Yelverton, Jeremiah B. Yelverton (Sadie), Joseph B. Yelverton, II (Ali), Michael J. Yelverton (Hailey) and Charles C. Yelverton; 15 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Rolling Fork Church of Christ, Rolling Fork, MS officiated by Danny Holman. Visitation is at 10:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork, MS.
