Billy Ray was a true believer in the Lord and was a spirited individual. He confessed his love for Christ later in his life and lived a life which glorified Him. Billy Ray’s faith was displayed  through his actions and his love for people, and his family has confidence in knowing he heard “well done, my good and faithful servant” when he entered the gates of Heaven. Mr. Jones was an avid fisherman and football fan who enjoyed cheering on his Decatur Eagles, LSU Tigers, and New Orleans Saints. Throughout his life, Mr. Jones was affectionately given numerous nicknames such as: Squirrel, Billy Bob, and Fat Boy.

Billy Ray is survived by his daughter, Miss Jordyn Leann Jones of Decatur, Texas; his siblings, Mrs. Mary Ann Vining and husband Odell of Minden, Louisiana, Ms. Alice Carson of Delhi, Louisiana, Mr. James Jones and wife Andrea of Delta, Louisiana, and Ms. Edith Mitchell of Madison, Mississippi; as well as brother-in-law, Mr. George Glass of Tallulah, Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Jones will truly be missed by his most faithful companion Roscoe, his Great Pyrenees and Australian Shepard mixed puppy. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Louis Jones, his mother and stepfather, Althea Mae and Mr. Roy Lee Allen, and his oldest sister, Mrs. Louise Glass all from Tallulah, Louisiana.

Mr. Billy Ray Jones will be laid to rest during a private service on Monday, October 12, 2020, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah, Louisiana.
