Billy Joe McPhail

Billy Joe McPhail passed away on January 24, 2023, at the age of 63.  

Billy Joe was born in Rolling Fork, MS on September 14, 1959, the son of Clyde Frankie McPhail and Patricia Ann Boyd McPhail.  He loved to fish, hunt and landscape. His greatest talent was telling stories in a clever yet amusing way.  Billy Joe greatly loved his family and friends.  He was known for being a kind and humble man, always offering thanks and compliments with a very sincere heart.  

He was preceded in death by his father Clyde McPhail and his brother David Ray McPhail.

He is survived by his mother Patricia Ann McPhail and sisters Anita Carol Randle, Frankie McPhail and Debbie Delaney and her husband Stan, nephews Mitchell Brown, Buford McPhail and Dillon Delaney and nieces Jessica McPhail and Whitney Delaney.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on January 26, 2023, at Tallula Church of God of Prophecy.  Pastor Elizabeth Franklin will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.

Honorary pallbearers will be Burt McPhail, Buford McPhail, Mitchell Brown, Dillon Delaney, Danny Koestler and Johnny Gerache. 

Memorials may be made to the Tallula Church of God of Prophecy, 13222 Hwy 1, Rolling Fork, MS 39159.
