Bobby Joe Johnson, age 84, passed away at his home in Brandon, MS, on Saturday, April 18, 2026. He was born on October 21, 1941, in Taylorsville, MS.
A tool and die maker by trade, Bobby was also a veteran who honorably served in the National Guard. He was known above all for his intense love of God and his unwavering faith. A devoted member of the First United Pentecostal Church, he served as the Secretary and Treasurer for 25 years and remained forever faithful to his church until his health no longer permitted him to attend.

He was a proud grandfather to Amanda (Jason) Kaitchuck, Morgan Adams, Christopher Jones, Krystal (Matthew) Norris, Jared Honeycutt, Branden (Destiny) Hines, Pierce Knighten, Lexi (Zach) Middaugh, Ashlyn Doyal, Marlee Doyal, and Brayden Doyal. He also leaves behind many beloved great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Burl and Alpha Johnson; his sisters, Stella Stucky, Betty Sue Mullins, and Louise Strickland; and his brother, Billy Johnson.
The family would like to thank the "angels" at Vital Caring Hospice for their selfless care and for being such a source of strength during the past few years.
