Obituary

Carolyn Janis Smith Keith was welcomed into the arms of her heavenly father on May 12, 2023. She was with her three children at Baptist Medical Center when she passed. She was 75 years old.

Carolyn was born in Port Sulphur, Louisiana, on June 18, 1947. In 1950, she moved to Vicksburg, Mississippi. She lived in Vicksburg the rest of her life, graduating from Warren Central High School, marrying, and raising her family. She devoted her life to her family and is most remembered for her kind and generous spirit. Her favorite phrase "I love you more" is a constant reminder that her love knew no end and that she could always be counted on for anything.

She was married to the late Morris Keith for 51 years. She is preceded in death by her parents Irene and Jimmy Smith of Vicksburg and her sister, Ann McDowell. She is survived by her children, Leslie Grammar (Jo Jo), Kasey Taylor (Sam), William Keith (Infanee), her grandchildren, Emily Drake (Danny), Matthew Davis, Samantha Taylor, Keith Taylor, Sadie Taylor, Illani Keith, and great grandbaby, Raelyn Davis. A private celebration of life will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given in Carolyn Keith's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
