Casimiro Martinez Villeda

Funeral Services for Casimiro “Pamilo” Martinez Villeda, 88, of Vicksburg, MS will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home on Saturday December 14, 2024 at 12 PM.  Visitation will be held Friday December 13, 2024 from 5 PM to 9 PM at the Funeral Home.  

Pamilo was born in Hidalgo, Mexico on March 4, 1936 and passed away December 7, 2024 in Vicksburg, MS.  He was married to the love of his life Octavia Martinez and was the proud father of 6 children.  He was a cattle farmer by trade and continued to maintain his home in Hidalgo.  He was generous to his community by providing recreational facilities and also built a Catholic Church in his town. He loved to listen to violins.  He worked in the United States for Shaw Carpet and eventually moved to the U.S. full time. He opened up a mexican restaurant Martinez in 2000.  As his children opened successful businesses in the U.S., Pamilo began working with them and was extremely proud of their accomplishments.  Pamilo an active Catholic loved the Lord and his family.  He greatly loved his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Octavia Martinez, son Jesus “Chuy“ Martinez, son Casimiro “Cachis” Matinez and son-in-law Thomas Barton.

Pamilo leaves behind three sons Jon Martinez (Vania) of Flowood, MS, Jesse Martinez of Monroe, LA and Lorenzo Martinez (Priscilla) of Vidalia, LA and one daughter Maria Barton (Thomas) of Vicksburg, MS, three sisters Chenchita Martinez Carranza, Loli Martinez Carranza of Hidalgo, Mexico and Luz Martinez of Mexico City, Mexico, 21 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be his loving family.
