Cecelia Woodruff

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cecelia Morris Woodruff on January 6, 2025, at the age of 80.  Cecelia was born on February 7, 1944, in Chatfield, Arkansas, to Everett Sr. and Bessie Mims Morris.  She and her family moved to Newellton in 1953. She married Jimmy Doyle Woodruff, Sr in 1965.

Although Cecelia's passing comes as a great loss to the family, we know she is now free of pain and suffering and made whole again with our Heavenly Father.

Preceded in joining the Lord:  Husband, Jimmy Woodruff; Mother & Father: Everette Sr. and Bessie Morris, her brothers - Norman Morris and Everett "Butch" Morris, Jr.; sisters - Jeanette Ivey, Janice McCarta, and Brenda Wood; and her nephews, Richard Parker and Stanely "Stan" John Wood, Jr.

Cecelia is survived by her sister, Patricia “Pat” Morgan, her sister-in-law, Loraine Morris, her daughter and son-in-law Daina & Brandon Jackson, her son Jim Woodruff, her granddaughters Charity Hollier & Allyson Jackson, her grandsons:  Ty, Tucker and Tanner Woodruff, and numerous nieces and nephews.  She also leaves behind her great-grandchild, Wade Hollier.

Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church Newellton with burial to follow at Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton, LA. 

Pallbearers will be Ty Woodruff, Jeff Britt, John Chandler, Lanny J. Morris, Brian Merritt, and Dale Ashley.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Dementia Foundation in Cecelia's name.
