Charles Lavon Green

Charles Lavon Green passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, at his residence in Lorman, MS. He was 91 years old.

Charles was born on June 24, 1933, in Prentiss, MS the son of Lonnie Monroe Green and Mattie Eleanora Green. He was married to his wife Gloria for 66 years. He served in the United States Army. He worked for Southwest Electric for 41 years. He was a hard worker. He is preceded in death by his parents his siblings Curtis R. Green, Myrtis Smith and Irene Martin.

He is survived by his wife Gloria Faye Green, sons Charles Keith Green (Melissa) and Stephen Glen Green, 4 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson, MS with Rev. Curtis Gibson officiating. A visitation will start at 12:00 p.m. till the hour of the service. Burial will follow in Cane Ridge Cemetery in Lorman, MS.

Pallbearers will be Sam Scarber, Fred Stuart, Shane Green, Roy Landers, Doug Tanksley, and Freddie Shelton. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Johnson, Kirby Rushing, and Jake Morris.
