Claude Kirkpatrick Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. Claude Edward Kirkpatrick, age 82, will be held at Maryland Baptist Church in St. Joseph, Louisiana on Monday, February 17, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Larry Foster officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. at the church. Burial will follow at Legion Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah, Louisiana.

Mr. Kirkpatrick was born July 17, 1937 in St. Joseph, Louisiana where he and his siblings were raised. He was a resident of Winnsboro, Louisiana and died in St. Francis Medical Center on Saturday, February 15, 2020. Mr. Kirkpatrick served four years in the Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was an active member of Maryland Baptist Church. He loved his daily walks.

Mr. Kirkpatrick was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Myrtis Kirkpatrick; brothers, Orene Kirkpatrick, Harold Kirkpatrick, and Cecil Kirkpatrick; sister, Dorothy Morgan; wife, Brenda Kirkpatrick; and daughter, Deborah K. Derrick.

Mr. Kirkpatrick is survived by his children, Mitchell Kirkpatrick of Paulaski, Mississippi, Cindy K. Gaddis (Philip) of Katy, Texas, Pauline K. Doyle (Alan) of Newellton, Louisiana, Beth K. Morse of Pearl, Mississippi, and Joseph C. Kirkpatrick of Pulaski, Mississippi; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Sue Davis (Don) of Columbia, Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Allen David Morse, Hunter Vallee, Michael Allison, Craig Keyes, Landen Weathersby, and Trey Cowan. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Morgan, Harold Kirkpatrick, Jr., and Allen Lansing.
