Cynthia (Cindy) Grace Graves Goss passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at her home with her loving husband, Dale, by her side. She was 75 years old.
Cindy was born in Vicksburg, MS at the Vicksburg Hospital and was raised in Tallulah, LA where she spent most of her life, 57yrs. She graduated from Tallulah High School in 1964 and continued her education at the LSU, where she obtained her degree in English and was also a member of the Tri-Delta sorority. She was a social worker with the Louisiana Department of Social Services for Madison Parish for 30 years and retired from there in June 1998.
She became Mrs. Dale Goss on February 18, 1998. Cindy attended Triumph Church in Vicksburg, MS for a number of years and then began attending Life Church just before her illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. Robert Nicklas and Mrs. Grace Ashmore Graves, sister Anna Jane Graves Morrow Mabry, and nephews Charles “Chuck” Borrows Mabry III and Robert “Bob Davis” Mabry.
She is survived by her husband Dale A. Goss and his sister Kathi Goss Truax (Florida); son Jason Carl Smith (Monroe, LA), daughter Ashley Lynn Dayton (West Monroe, LA) and her husband William Brian Dayton, their two children Alison Dawn and Jackson Brian Dayton; stepdaughter Jenny Denise Goss Laird (Vicksburg, MS) and her husband Brian Laird and their two children Kaymie Laird and Damien Reeves; Stepson Rob Goss (Atlanta, GA) and wife Melanie Smith Goss and daughter Adalyn; Nephew Jonathan Christopher Morrow, wife Mandi Morrow and three children Austin, Sarah Beth and Madison.
Pall bearers will be Damien Reeves, Brian Laird, Perry Reeves, Jason Gordon and Evan Gordon.
