Darlene Miles Atchley

Darlene M Atchley, 62 of Vicksburg, MS went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2023.

She was born in Monroe, LA in 1961 to Aswell (Bill) and Lucille Miles.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents Aswell (Bill) and Lucille Miles,  brother, Billy Ray Miles, sisters Flo Toney (Sonny), Maryann Shelnutt (Bill), and is survived by her spouse, Bobby Atchley of 42 years, 3 children Jamie Chandler (Natalee), Niki Rickles (Jason), James Atchley (Courtney), 9 grandchildren, Christian (Alexis), Manny (Alana), Johnathan, Jase, Tanner, Hanah, Katie, Janie, Stella; 2 great grandchildren Ashton and Caiden. She is also survived by 2 sisters in law and many nieces and nephews. 

Darlene spent the majority of her life interacting with the community through her work at Carey’s and Super Junior Oak Ridge Rd.; which is why the majority of people know her as “the super junior lady”.  She enjoyed the work she did and truly loved her customers. 

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of the ICU and ER of Merit Health River Region and owner (Jay and Blake Tidwell) and staff at Super Junior. 

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren. 

Visitation is Saturday Oct 21, 2023, 10:00-12:00 at Glenwood Funeral Home followed by the service at 12:00.

In lieu of graveside service, all friends and family are welcome to gather at Bobby and Darlene’s house.
