David Newman Foster

David Newman Foster born April 20,1957 in Vicksburg, MS, passed away Saturday January 3, 2026, at River Region Medical Center. He was born and raised in Vicksburg, Ms.  He worked for Magnolia Mobile Homes for 20 years, then went to work in the propane industry where he worked for Blossman Gas for 20 years until he retired. He loved old trucks and fixing them up, he loved wood working, building things and being in his shop. He loved his family. He was a member of Refuge Church and loved his church and church family. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Tommy and Jane Foster, his brother Donnie Foster, and his sons, Chris Beard and Johnathan Beard. 

He is survived by his wife Regina Foster, sons  Michael Foster and Dennis Foster, daughter Shelby Birdsong(Blake), his brother Glenn Foster(Kathy), Sisters Brenda Bradley (Mark), Debra Herr(Jason), 12 Grandchildren,  Grayson Foster, Skylar Beard, Madison Beard, Christopher Beard, Anniston Beard ,Nicholi Beard, Atticus, Tatum, Jeanette Beard, Brayden Birdsong, Lukas Birdsong and Bristolyn Birdsong, and First Great Grandchild due July 2026. 

Services will be held Friday, January 9 at Glenwood funeral home visitation will be 10:00-11:30 AM with Services at 11:30A.M. in the chapel with burial following in Cedar Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Tony Winkler of Refuge Church officiating. 

Pallbearers will be Blake birdsong, Ted Crotwell, John Elfer, Alvin Foster, Jeremy Rice, Nathan Ross, Dusty Wipperling and Zack Hearn.

The family would like to thank, River Region 5th Floor staff, Fresenius Dialysis center, Dr Sohal and his staff, Dr Sam Pierce and Morgan Caulfield, and Heritage house nursing home for the care they gave to David during his dialysis journey.
