Dennis Wayne Gilcrease

Dennis Wayne Gilcrease was born in Leeville, LA on June 28, 1960, to Ferby Elizabeth and James Richard Gilcrease (deceased). He passed away June 15, 2022 at 61 years old.

Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. He graduated from Warren Central High School in 1978 and attended Copiah Lincoln Community College. He had been employed throughout his career by local industries including Quaker State/Shell Oil Lubricants, Vicksburg Rubber Reclaiming, Armstrong Flooring and Tyson Foods.

He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Gilcrease of Vicksburg, MS and 1 brother, Rickey Gilcrease and his wife Leanne Gilcrease of Bossier City, LA and their daughter, Dennis's niece, Caitlyn Gilcrease and her fiancée Joseph Hughes also his aunt Ruby Ranes (Jim) of Arlington, TX. He is also survived by his former wife Jean Gilcrease, her children, Dennis's stepson - Rob Goss and wife Melanie and their daughter Addie (Dennis's granddaughter) of Loganville, GA and Dennis's stepdaughter Jenny Goss Laird and her husband Brian Laird and their son Damien Reeves (Dennis's grandson) and Kaymie Laird (Dennis's step granddaughter) all of Vicksburg, MS.

Dennis attended Northside Baptist Church. Scotty Swillie, former pastor at Northside, will perform the service. Visitation will be at Glenwood Funeral Home, Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. followed by service at 2:00 P.M. Burial will be at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Ben Luckett, Ricky Pennington, Sr., Charles Earl Houston, John Johnston, Brian Laird and Perry Reeves.
