Obituary
Dewanna "Dee" E. Blake passed away on May 19, 2023, at her home. She was 78.
Dee was born on September 14, 1944, the daughter of Ross McHenry and Ina Bullock McHenry. She wrote many poems that people loved. She was a member of Warrenton Independent Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerry Blake and her brother Tim McHenry.
She is survived by her daughter Joan Gentry (Steve), son Delane Blake, sister Maita McHenry, brothers Eric, Leroy, Carroll, Allen and Donnie McHenry, brother-in-law Raymond Blake, grandchildren Adam Jordan, Kristal Echols and Daniel Gentry, and great-grandchildren Lyndsee Jordan, Aden Echols, Winston Echols, Willard Echols and Damon Gentry.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 22, 2023, at Glenwood Funeral Home. Rev. Marvin Curtis will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will follow in Lamar Baptist Church Cemetery in Delhi, LA.
Pallbearers will be her brothers Eric, Leroy, Carroll, Allen and Donnie McHenry.
