Donna Lynn Brown

Donna Rainwater Brown, 62, passed away on September 18, 2025. Donna was a bright spirit who lived life to the fullest. As a girl, she was a proud Girl Scout alongside her sister, where she discovered her love for adventure. She enjoyed biking, swimming, and was fearless when it came to roller coasters at amusement parks. She was a talented roller skater. Donna also found joy in traveling, cruises, and spending time outdoors. Above all, she loved spending time with her family—especially her grandchildren,  Landon, Billy, and Isabelle, who were the light of her life.

Donna dedicated many years as an assistant teacher at Beechwood in both 1st grade and Pre-K, shaping the lives of countless children with patience and kindness. Before that, she managed the Regal Movie Theater in Clinton, MS, and in Vicksburg, where she made lifelong friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Brown of 34 years and her sister, Susan Rainwater.

Donna leaves behind her three sons: James “JR” (Deidra) Brown, Jon (Krystal) Brown, and Justin Brown; her parents, Donald and Patricia “Patty” Rainwater; her brother, Scott (Kim) Rainwater; her sister, Lisa Rainwater; and nieces and nephews Hannah Rainwater, Tyler Rainwater, Clayton Rainwater, and Trey Towles. She is also survived by her three cherished grandchildren: Landon, Billy, and Isabelle Brown.

A celebration of Donna’s life will be held Monday, September 22, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Glenwood Chapel. Visitation will take place from 12:00 p.m. until the service. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Landon Brown, Clayton Rainwater, Jimmy Jobe, Stephen Jobe, Brian Culley, and Earnest Whitehead. Rev. Chris Vowell will officiate the service under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Donna’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
