Doris W Tolar

Doris Watson Tolar, (Dodie), age 87, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020 in Rolling Fork, MS.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Monday, January 27 at the chapel of the Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork, MS. Brother Nick Smith will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10am to 11am prior to the service. Burial to follow at Mounds Cemetery.

Doris was born November 16, 1932 to her parents, E.E. and Lois Dunn Samples. She was a member of Delta City Baptist Church. She loved to sew and be with her friends and family.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, James “Buddy” Watson; Jeanie Watson Melton, daughter; Jack Wansley, son in law; Earl Samples, brother; Marie Stockstill, sister; Merle Samples, brother; William Samples, brother; and Billy Jean Tolar, husband.

Survivors include: Julia Watson Wansley of Brandon, MS, daughter; Ray Watson of Delta City, MS, son; granddaughters, Gretchen Wansley Means (Edward) and Madelyn Wansley Williams (Scott); great granddaughter, Clancy Sley Means, all of Brandon, MS; James Samples of Long Beach, MS, brother and several nieces and nephews.

Doris will be greatly missed.
