Edna Mae Mitchell

Edna Mae Mitchell was born in Sharkey County on Sept. 5, 1940. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with family. She never meet a stranger. She was a very dear humble soul. She will be very missed. She was loved by so many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Ethel Murphy; also her stepfather George Peppers; one brother Ernest Murphy.

She is survived by her sister, Helen Bales of Bogue Chitto, MS; sons Steve Mitchell (Annie) of Yazoo City, MS,  Mike Mitchell (Tammy) of Fitler, MS and Tray Mitchell; daughters Cindy Wilson (David) of Anguilla, MS, Kathy Wheeler of Brandon, MS, and Pam Greene of Morton, MS; 12 Grandchildren and 17 Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation and services will be Monday, Sept. 27, 2021 at Glenwood Funeral home of Rolling Fork, MS. Visitation is from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. and services are at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Jimmy Porter officiating. Interment will follow at Mounds Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons Nathan Greene, Randell Greene, Bradley Chevalier, Jamie Wilson, Tray Mitchell, and Kevin Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Bales, David Wilson, Derek Johnson, Billy (Jorge) Gonzalas, Martin Barnard, and Travis Greene.

The family would like to give a big thank you to everyone that went above and beyond their job during this difficult time for us. We appreciated all the love we received.
