Obituary

Elizabeth “Beth” Upshaw Vollstedt passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023. She was born in Bruce, MS on May 11, 1948, and raised in Yazoo City, MS. She loved her friends and family. Beth was especially proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was lovingly known as Granna.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ned Vollstedt; son, Shaw Upshaw (Kellye); her parents, Maxine and Percy Bagwell; and her brother, Sam Bagwell. She is survived by her son, Shane Upshaw (Susan); daughter, Kim Upshaw; three stepdaughters, Mandy Falk(Torrey), Tawnia Bush(Bryce), and Krystal Vollstedt(Mike Grosdidier); brother, Mike Bagwell (Midge); eleven grandchildren, Preston Upshaw, Easton Upshaw, Ellye Ryan Upshaw, Sidney Shaw Upshaw, John Owen Upshaw, Grace Upshaw, Phillip Upshaw, Chandler Upshaw, Curran Upshaw, Jack Upshaw, and Georgia Upshaw; three great grandchildren, Elle Grider, Swazey Grider, and Luna Upshaw; and five nephews, Michael Bagwell, Dustin Bagwell, Christopher Bagwell, Brett Bagwell, and Blake Bagwell.

A family graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Quiet Ridge Cemetery in Pickens, MS.

Honorary pallbearers will be Preston Upshaw, Easton Upshaw, Sidney Shaw Upshaw, John Owen Upshaw, Phillip Upshaw, Chandler Upshaw, Curran Upshaw, and Jack Upshaw.

Memorials may be made to French Camp Academy or a charity of your choice.
