Eunice JoAnn “Sweetie” Martin

Eunice JoAnn “Sweetie” Martin passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024. She was 87 years old. She was born on March 14, 1937, in Brasfield, Arkansas to Marvin and Willie Cronce Shannon. She was a basketball star. She loved cooking, taking trips, going to the mountains and being with family. She enjoyed watching the changing colors of the trees. She cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Willie Cronce Shannon; sisters, Darlene Howell and Joy Shannon; 

She is survived by her husband, William Doyle Martin; sons, Keith Creek and Doyle Martin, Jr. (Vivian); daughters, Karen Bobb and Kim Fortenberry (Chris); grandchildren, Schyler Howard (Ryan), Keaton Sanders (Leah), Macaulay Sanders, Hunter Martin (Rebecca), Kel Bobb (Nancy); great-grandchildren, Ledger Hardy, Maverick Howard, Pierce Howard, Paiton Howard, Russell Sanders, Rollins Sanders and Tristan Bobb and Bell Bobb.
