Eva Holmes Williams passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022. She was 82 years old.
Eva was born in Jefferson County, MS to Rivers Harrison Holmes and Eva Case Holmes. Eva was married to Tommy Williams for 62 years and lived in the Rocky Springs Community since 1967. She worked for Trace Haven Nursing Home from 1977 to 1997 and retired after 20 years. She was a member of Cayuga Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Irene Wright.
She is survived by her husband Tommy Williams, son Darryl Lance Williams, daughters Brenda Hood (Ronnie) and Melinda G. Hanna, brother Wayne Holmes, sisters Hazel Cook and Thelma Reed, grandchildren Misty Lowe (Nicholas), Eva Hood, Renee' Hood, Miles Hanna and Rivers Hanna, great-grandchildren Savannah Lowe and Violet Lowe.
Services will be Thursday, May 5, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg, MS with Rev. George McFarland officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Cayuga Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Darryl Williams, Ronnie Hood, Miles Hanna, Rivers Hanna, Nicholas Lowe and Phillip Williams.
