Frances Chambless

Miss Frances Chambless passed away January 22, 2025, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana, at the age of 80. She was born February 7, 1944, in Delhi, Louisiana, to Leroy and Helen Conrad Chambless.

Miss Frances was an amazing lady. She had polio when she was five years old, but she didn’t let that stop her from enjoying her life. She lived the best life she could and cherished every minute of it. She never depended on anyone to help her with those day-to-day tasks always finding her own way to do whatever she needed to do. Miss Frances retired from Delta Community Action after 20 plus years of service. She was a charter member of Parkview Baptist Church in Tallulah, Louisiana, and was a member there for over 70 years. She loved her church and served as church secretary for many years after her retirement from Delta Community Action. Miss Frances loved everyone she met. She will be greatly missed.

Miss Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Helen Chambless; sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and Jerry Kelly; brother, Kenneth Chambless, and nephew, Scott Kelly.

Miss Frances is survived by her sisters, Leona Clifton of Pensacola, Florida, Sandra and Jim Wilson of Bastrop, Louisiana, and Artiv Anderson of Tallulah, Louisiana; nieces and nephews, Alan and Ginger Kelly, Lisa and Hugh Boughton, Kim and John Roberts, Curt and Debbie Clifton, Gina Eubanks, Steve Rundell, Leslie Chambless, Greg and Stephanie Wilson, and Johnny Anderson, numerous great nieces and nephews, and special friends Mac and Pat McCarty

Funeral services for Miss Frances will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 27, 2025, at Parkview Baptist Church with Bro. Rudolph Hernandez and Bro. Dennis Hackler officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah.

Pallbearers will be Alan Kelly, Hugh Boughton, Benjamin McHenry, Curt Clifton, Steve Rundell, and Greg Wilson.
